Memory Bowls are unique ceramic artworks which tell the story of life, place and love.
Ali works with you from gathered photos, stories of life and internet map journeys to create a drawing which envelops a wheel thrown ceramic bowl. With a watercolour style and sgraffito linework the story comes to life when fired and glazed in the kiln. Completed with an inscription of your choice on the base of the bowl.
A special gift for family, friends or yourself to display on a mantle, use for a delicious salad and to pass on to the generations.

Finger marks, wonky edges and imperfections are things we love about the act of hand building. We think you will love the too!

Who is Ali?
I am a passionate designer working in the busy world of Corporate Interiors. Looking for a place to be creative outside of the office I dipped my hands into some clay in 2022 and have not looked back!
After a few years learning the way of the wheel, I found myself at The Art Room (TAR, Footscray, Vic) where I was blissfully surrounded by kindred spirits, artists, ceramicists and printmakers. I found my tribe!
TAR has led me to explore clay in so many forms, challenge my skills, learn so much about glaze and finishes. Most importantly it allowed me to find a way to take my love of drawing and lino printing and apply it to my clay works.
I hope my love of making shines in my work and finds a happy place in your homes.

Ceramics are fragile, we offer personal delivery within Inner Melbourne suburbs (free or at low cost) and the opportunity for free pick up from Inner West MLB or CBD MLB.

However, we do need to charge for delivery outside of the above options. We pack very carefully with recycled and recyclable packing.
We post through Australia Post Parcel delivery, $12 fixed price for parcels up to 5kg. Checkout will combine items up to 5kg and apply the fixed price.
